BRENDAN TAYLOR
FROM INTERNATIONAL CRICKETING SUPERSTAR TO CONSERVATION LEGEND
Over the past decade he has ignited cricket fields across the world with his incredible skill, grit and determination! Having played for the Zimbabwe National Team for the majority of his professional career, Brendan has often been on the losing end of many battles but he has also been instrumental in some ground-breaking victories. Testament to his ability is how he excelled on the English County Cricket circuit with Nottinghamshire for the last three years against some of the best players in the world.
He has now returned home to Zimbabwe and nearing the end of his professional career has realised the importance of giving back. Brendan has already thrown his support behind various initiatives from supporting under-privileged children to raising awareness about the plight of cancer. Having grown up in Zimbabwe, Brendan enjoyed many family holidays in the wild places of our beautiful country, but Lake Kariba has always been one of his favourites. It is for this reason that he is so passionate about doing what he can to preserve it for his children to enjoy in the future by joining the Bumi Hills Foundation team as a brand ambassador!
Despite already making a significant financial contribution towards the ongoing running costs of the Bumi Hills Anti-Poaching Unit Brendan expressed an interest in getting more involved and recently came up to the HQ to meet our team of dedicated rangers who are fighting on the front line in the war on poaching. During this visit he joined the rangers on patrol and helped out with the emergency feeding program on Starvation Island.
He will be actively involved in promoting our work and creating awareness of the conservation plight going forward!
We are very proud to have BT onboard and have no doubt that he will show the same grit and determination to the conservation cause as he does on the cricket field! Together we can win this war on poaching!
